About Indalo Our Story
Zelda Bam The Indalo Story
This for me followed a career in finance in London, supporting my husband serving as an officer in the British Army and dedicating myself to my two boys in their early years. And so I was ready for the next challenge and keen to take on a business of my own when Indalo came into the picture.
I simply fell in love with Indalo’s organic feeling, personal touch, exclusive designs and home amongst friends at the Old Nick Village. Little did I think the stars would align but it was clearly meant to be.
Taking over from the incredibly talented Francis Orzechowski, who founded Indalo some fifteen years ago, along with her other well-known ranges Solo and Salt, has been a true inspiration and catalyst for my move into fashion design.
I continue to work with Francis who I am proud to call my mentor, as much dear friend and kind heart of the Indalo family. It’s that Indalo feeling that I fell in love with that continues to inspire our journey. I am equally excited to bring in my own handwriting, new fabrics and designs, along with select ranges that so many customers come back for year after year such as Soul® and Just Cruizin®.
As I explore new ideas and design the Indalo ranges, I am always interested to hear from our customers, whether in the shop, by email or phone. So please drop me a line, I’d love to hear from you as we take the special feeling of Indalo forward together.

Indalo means from ‘the earth’, which inspires our holistic approach from sourcing natural fabrics, often organic and always made locally, to our décor and sustainability model and the way we work as a team.
